KAPPA _ Central Illinois amateur golfer Curt Hocker is on a roll. Five rolls, to be exact.

Just ask anyone at the El Paso Golf Club, where the 22-year-old has recorded five holes-in-one in the last week, including two on Saturday.

In this year alone, Hocker has seven aces, five on par-4s, and two other double eagles.

“I don’t know what to think,” said Hocker, who works in the club’s pro shop. “After each one I say it’s over, and it keeps happening.”

Friends and family, 15 of whom have witnessed Hocker’s strokes of luck while playing with him, are equally mystified.

I get it. So Curt has 15 friends and family members that are liars too. I had a hard enough time believing that some trucker had two hole-in-ones in one round, let alone some kid fresh out of college nailing five in a week.

I’m not saying this was impossible, I just think that after the third one, your buddy is filming every tee shot with his cell phone. And don’t give me some BS answer that there wasn’t a cell phone with a video camera available. We’re talking about Illinois here people, not Kazakhstan.

You see folks, if you are going to get a hole-in-one, you better get it on tape, and it better be worth a million dollars.
