In news that couldn’t wait until Monday to post, Michael Phelps has released a statement in regards to a photo of him taking an Olympic size bong rip.
Phelps said: “I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment. I’m 23 years old and despite the successes I’ve had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again.”
This guy is just straight out invisible. Any other non-NBA athlete would have been ripped to shreds for this one, but Phelps is the golden boy. He could sponsor a punt, pass and kick contest using puppies instead of footballs, and people would show up in droves, and Bob Costas would applaud him for it.
