Fresh off the embarrassment of the Danie Masca nude photos, Niagra University has another PR mess on their hands. In a smart move, they’ve already pulled the (former) player profile of Rydell Brooks down in an attempt to distance themselves from this almost cop killer.
This past weekend, Rydell Brooks, 20, was arrested along with his cousin, following a police chase in Akron, Ohio. Investigators say Brooks and another man fired at officers during a foot chase. Both men were later apprehended.
In 2006, Brooks played for the Niagara University Purple Eagles. He helped the team win a MAAC championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament.
Happy Hump Day. I just posted more pictures of a certain former college basketball player, and they can be seen over at the forum. Feel free to register and contribute. It will help keep the tumbleweed away.
Usually when you hear the phrase, “naked women’s basketball player”, you cringed. I don’t think that’s the case in this instance.
The Purple Eagle (this story could only be better if she played for South Carolina) in question is Danie Mosca. Looking at her profile photo from the 2005-2006 season, it looks like we have a match (check out the Niagra Basketball schedule in the background of the pictures below).
Danie was always there for me as well. She is such a strong person and stands up for her friends and doesn’t let anyone put herself or any of us down. I love her for that. She is going to Med school, and I wish her luck! She is so funny. We call her “The Cat”, because when she gets in ‘cat mode’ she runs around pulling pranks on people, and hiding behind stuff jumping out at us and yelling gibberish. She’s awesome!
Toni, I’m glad to know that you thought Danie was known as “The Cat” because she pulls pranks on people. In reality it was because she likes to show her kitty to the camera.
IU Police Department officers were dispatched to Assembly Hall on Thursday afternoon after freshman basketball player Eli Holman threw a potted plant and created a disturbance in the men’s basketball office, IUPD Capt. Jerry Minger said, reading from a police report.
The incident occurred shortly after Holman told IU coach Tom Crean he will not return to the team next season, Crean said.
“The conversation was very cordial,” Crean said. “But unfortunately, it just didn’t end that way.”
At 3:40 p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to Assembly Hall “as a precaution,” Crean said.
“We saw him as a danger to himself,” he said.
Let’s not sugar coat this. Crean was fearing for his life. There’s no way that Holman was a “danger to himself”. He was in danger of getting his ass thrown in jail for assaulting his coach former coach.

Roy Williams might be stunned that his former team served him up an old fashion ass whooping this weekend, but at least he has some off season golf to look forward to.
Chances are you’ve never seen this video from an Albany High School basketball game. It’s probably because they had a monkey working the camera, and he never figured that with one second left someone would nail a 90 footer to win the game.
