IRON MOUNTAIN LAKE, Mo.—An eastern Missouri man was accused of drunken driving on a riding lawnmower. The suspect, whose name has not been released, was suspected of being involved in a disturbance on Sunday.
On Monday, police got a tip that the man was at a home. An officer went to the home saw the man driving down a street on a riding mower, pulling a trailer with a case of beer. Police say the man also had a flask of whiskey in his pocket.
The man’s blood alcohol registered at .115, well above the state legal limit of 0.08.
The man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving.
I was under the impression that South of New York, drinking and driving a riding lawn mower was the norm. Apparently this isn’t the case. Fortunately, someone on Youtube has already reenacted the entire crime scene for your viewing pleasure.
This video got me wondering, if you’re playing golf and someone crashes your tee party, do you have every right to chase him town and lay a Mike Singletary style hit on him? After all, when someone runs on the field during a football or baseball game, they’re fair game for security and anything goes. They can take you out with whatever they like as long as they don’t use a weapon. That is unless you’re in Tampa where they pin you down and put a stun gun to your head.
I love how everyone stands around in this video, acting like this kind of shit happens on a daily basis. I think it’s pretty obvious that this guy was just explaining why he should be the President of the United States. He wouldn’t take shit from anyone!
In all seriousness though, this guy will probably end up in a jail, and his farts will stop making noises soon after.
