Well it looks like the Erin Andrews peephole scandal is coming to a close. Michael Barrett has waved the white flag, won’t pass Go and will be heading directly to jail. His crimes carry a maximum penalty of 5 years, but it’s likely that he’ll get 2 to 2.5 years. Throw in some good behavior and time served, and breastman could be roaming hotel hallways in the Summer of 2011.
However, what about the rest of the victims? Barrett had dozens of videos on his Daily Motion account, and I’m sure countless others that were on his home computer. Granted he might not have tried to sell these videos (he asked TMZ to buy the Andrews vids), but he very well could have been stalking multiple woman.
Who knows. All of this could be going on behind the scenes, and these other woman probably know what happened but don’t feel compelled to come forward because they’re not a public figure like Erin Andrews, and they’re basically some random nude chick on the Internet.

Tonight Erin Andrews returns to the sidelines after a grueling Summer vacation. Over the past week or so, we’ve learned that Erin Andrews will on Oprah in what will likely be a five minute softball batting practice session with Oprah pitching.
Oprah: How did you feel?
Erin Andrews: It’s was a nightmare, I feel violated.
Oprah: Do you know who taped you?
Erin Andrews: No I don’t, but if I find the person I will bring charges.
Oprah: How did you find the strength and courage to continue to do your job?
Erin Andrews: I love my job, and I won’t let something like this take away from me something I’ve wanted to do my whole life. Sniff, sniff. Tear.
Oprah: We’ll be back with the Black Eyed Peaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas after the break!

The questions you want answered, but won’t hear are:
Why did ESPN, your employer, send a letter to the site that first posted the video, when there was no mention of you or ESPN on the site?
If you want the video to go away, why are you here today doing this interview?
Besides sideline reporting, are you interested in another job? Would you be interested in your own talk show or replacing someone on “The View”?
Oh and have you heard this sound bite from the EA/Oprah summit that has been circulating the net?
“I’m excited to get back to work. I feel like it’s really going to help me heal the wounds,”
That makes sense right. After all, what could be more therapeutic than being on the road twice a week and staying in a hotel after some peeping tom captured you on camera doing your hair in the nude – in a hotel?
While until someone slips up and leaks evidence that this whole thing was orchestrated by Andrews and her handlers, I still stand behind the theory that this was done by a random pervert who just happened to get lucky. However, Team Andrews is applying a full court press to capitalize on this.
I’ve consulted my crystal ball, and it told me the following…
Speaking of Mary Hart, I just found out that she’s 58? GTFO. Whatever she’s doing, every chick should follow suit, because she looks damn good for someone who is 58. Oh, and don’t tell me that she doesn’t look like EA in 27 years.
So with all of that being said, I think it will be, I don’t know, twenty four hours before college football fans go back to taking shots of Erin’s ass and emailing them to me?

Kinda ironic isn’t it? The world’s most famous victim of a peephole, Erin Andrews, will be popping up on your screen next month as part of a Sony HDNA campaign (actual screencap above). She’ll be appearing with Peyton Manning, Justin Timberlake, and a few other people who qualify as celebrities as much as I do.
Now I’m assuming this campaign was shot months before the peephole video surfaced, just like the GQ photos that hit the Net this week. However, this could get real interesting if Erin has a few lines in the commercial spots where she’s, I don’t know, telling us to buy a video camera?
The Erin Andrews Peephole Scandal
Sony to refresh HDNA campaign

Gee, I wonder what “ESPN reporter video” the Wall Street Journal is referring to? I know the Erin Andrews peephole scandal is too disgusting, vile, and off topic for the Wall Street Journal but I guess it’s good enough for their Adwords campaign.
Oh and in case you’ve been in a cave the past two weeks, read all about the scandal here.

It’s been a full week now since I’ve been writing about this story, and almost two since I caught a whiff of it. With the mainstream media trying to play catch on the Erin Andrews peephole video scandal, a lot of things have become so twisted and turned that as much as it probably turns your stomach – the New York Post is becoming the most reliable source in the mainstream media for information on this scandal.
Now before you dismiss this notion based on the reputation that precedes the Post, you need to realize who they’ve been getting their information from. While they might throw a bit of their own spin on things, you need to realize one thing about the New York Post. They get it. They’re the only one in MSM that understands that it’s ESPN’s fault that Erin Andrews was forced to say that this video was of her. If it wasn’t for the tiff between ESPN and the Post, the rest of MSM would probably jump on the bandwagon to support this, but now that will never happen given that everything the Post prints looks like sour grapes.
That being said, it’s time to do some more theory debunking and dart throwing.
